Tzu Chi has set up an emergency coordination center to respond to the needs in Haiti after the earthquake.
Haiti was hit by an earthquake on January 12 shortly before 5pm local time. Tzu Chi USA Headquarters has set up an emergency coordination center to respond to the needs in Haiti. A meeting will be held tomorrow with other humanitarian organizations to discuss how to collaborate together to provide aid.
Tzu Chi volunteers from the USA reached out to Haiti in December 2008 and traveled to the country to provide aid in January 2009. There were also plans for further charitable and medical assistance in the country.
Tzu Chi will continue to provide updates on its relief efforts in the near future. Please pray for the people in Haiti and send our blessings to them!
