Bam, Iran Earthquake

Bam, Iran Earthquake Without any warning, a 600 year-old ancient city, Bam, disappeared before dawn; numerous lives perished under the rubbles. TIMA brought medicine and love to the victims, Tzu Chi volunteers rebuilt the schools, the ancient city is rising again two years later.

On December 26th 2003, at 5:28 a.m., a devastating earthquake struck the city of Bam, in the country of Iran. This ancient city, constructed more than six centuries ago, was instantly reduced to ruins. Countless people were buried under the rubble. Lives were taken away in an instant.Read more...
